Your First Visit
What can you expect when you visit Covenant?
If you’re checking out Covenant for the first time, you can expect the same thing that many now look forward to every week: a place to experience firsthand the life changing love of God in Jesus Christ. That’s really what we’re all about.
Sundays at Covenant we enjoy passionate music, intimate community, and biblically grounded, down to earth teaching from the Word of God.
During the week at Covenant, there are many opportunities to learn, to grow, and to serve as we seek to continually grow in our relationship with Jesus and take the good news to the ends of the earth.
So, come join us this Sunday at 11am and take it all in for yourself.
In the meantime, check out our website where you can learn more about what to expect, what we believe, and what ministry opportunities are available for you and your kids. If you need anything else just send an email with your questions to our office and we’ll get right back to you. Thanks for checking us out and we hope to see you soon.
What we Believe
At Covenant, we strive to “know Christ and to make Christ known.” We are committed to bringing people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, assisting them to maturity in the Christian faith, and equipping all believers to share the gospel message with as many as will listen. For more on what we believe, view our Statement of Faith.
Atmosphere
At Covenant, you will experience friendly people, heart-felt worship music, and relevant messages, in a comfortable environment. We want to make you feel as welcome as possible. If you would like to listen to a past service for an indication of what to expect, you can do so by visiting our Sermon Archive.
A Typical Service
A typical service lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes. Services begin with a worship song and opening prayer. Announcements follow to let you know what is happening around Covenant. An offering is then received. (As a visitor you will not be asked or expected to give an offering. You are our guest!) We prepare our hearts for worship with a time of corporate confession followed by 2 or 3 more worship songs. A time of congregational prayer follows as we prepare to hear from God’s word. Then Pastor Rick (or a guest speaker) will give a biblically based message designed to open God’s word and apply God’s principles to everyday life. This message will be about 25-30 minutes in length. At the end of the message there will be a closing song. You are welcome to talk to or pray with Pastor Rick or one of our elders after the service.
How to Dress
We invite you to dress casually and comfortably. You’ll fit right in. After all, the Bible tells us that God is more concerned with our hearts than He is with how we dress or look (1 Samuel 16:7).
What is available for my children?
We offer Sunday School starting at 10am for children from 3 years to 6th grade. During the 11:00 worship service, children from 3 years old to 3rd grade leave the service part way through to attend Children’s Church. Children from 4th grade up stay with their parents in the worship service. A fully staffed nursery is available at the 11:00 service for infants through toddlers. There is also a cry room at the back of the sanctuary.
Please visit our Children’s Ministry page for more information.
